The future of care is connected. Whether connecting services, systems, or social lives, the quality of care delivered increasingly depends on how effectively information, people, and technology work together. At Twinglobe Care Ltd, this philosophy underpins everything they do. Supporting adults of all ages across community living services, dementia care, nursing care, and complex care environments, Twinglobe recognises that every individual follows a unique pathway. Even people with the same diagnosis experience different challenges, needs, and aspirations.
To support truly personalised care, Twinglobe needed a system capable of bringing together the many factors that shape a person’s care journey. They wanted a platform that could centralise information, provide a complete picture from multiple sources, and present that information in a way that was intuitive, actionable, and accessible for care teams. More than two years after implementing Nourish Better Care, Twinglobe has built one of the sector’s most comprehensive and connected digital care ecosystems.

We spoke with Julie Burton, Head of Operations, about Twinglobe Care’s digital journey, the power of integrations, and how connected technology is helping deliver truly personalised care.

How Twinglobe Care feel about the future of their digital partnership with Nourish
Why did Twinglobe Care choose Nourish Better Care?
“Once we saw Nourish Better Care had developed the features we needed, we brought you in. We didn’t even consider another company.
“We had been exploring digital care planning solutions for several years before making a decision. I always liked the Nourish model. We decided to wait and see how the platforms developed. Once Nourish had the functionality we needed, we knew it was the right fit.
“One of the key factors was ease of use. It’s easy to use and it’s easy to explain. We asked staff how they felt about the process, how it flowed, and how easy it would be for carers to pick up. That was the key thing.
“Even users who do not work within care planning every day can quickly access the information they need. Nourish contains all this complex information, but it’s a very simple process to get from A to B and find out what you need to know about an individual at that precise moment in time.
“As Twinglobe’s digital estate has expanded, that simplicity has remained fundamental to our success.”
How was your onboarding experience?
“It was really good. We involved staff across the service, including our healthcare assistants, before making the decision. We wanted everyone to feel confident with the system.
“The straightforward design of the system complemented the training and implementation support provided. The onboarding itself was really easy. The training team were incredibly communicative, and the system is very user-friendly. I particularly valued the clarity of the platform.
“If it says it’s black, it’s black. If it says it’s white, it’s white. There’s no confusion. If you’re looking for a diagnosis, risk assessment or care information, it’s right there in front of you.
“Years after our onboarding, that clarity continues to support staff confidence and adoption of the system by new hires.”
How has the Nourish Partnership Programme supported innovation?
“Once we started to explore digitisation, finding the right integrations quickly became a key part of our digital strategy at Twinglobe Care.
“The Nourish Partnership Programme is fantastic for helping us assess the right integration partners. Whenever I’ve spoken to the team, the conversation has always been about finding the best solution for our needs.
“I really value the openness and honesty of their approach. The team are really good at answering honestly. They’re not leading you up the garden path. They’ll tell you whether something is possible or not.
“It’s enabled us to build a robust digital ecosystem, that is unique to the needs of our community. Today, our digital estate includes integrations with: PainChek, Ally, Whzan, FaultFixers, Universal Care Pathway, GP Connect and several additional technologies.
“There isn’t a single solution that covers everything we need. That’s why integrations are so important. We’re constantly evolving and we’re constantly looking at different forms of technology. What can support us to make a difference to a person’s life.
“Nourish’s openness to integrations is incredible. It’s directly in line with our plans for growing and evolving into the future and we feel 100% like a partner with Nourish on that journey.”

How does centralised data support qulity of care?
“For us, centralisation is about much more than efficiency.
“Centralisation is essential because our whole focus is on the person and what we can provide for the individual.
“A powerful example came through the integration we have between Nourish and Ally. Analysis of overnight monitoring data helped identify previously undetected nocturnal seizures in one individual utilising our service. By reviewing medication and adjusting care plans early, the team improved the person’s health and wellbeing while avoiding hospital admission.
“Another example involved a resident living with Huntington’s disease who was experiencing significant weight loss. By bringing together dietary records from Nourish and activity data from Ally, our team identified that the person was highly active overnight and likely hungry during the night.
“We took this information and following dietary adjustments and changes to food texture and nutritional support, the person’s sleep improved and they successfully gained weight!
“It’s those integrations that really show us the full picture, and give us the information we need to improve people’s quality of life. There are so many benefits of integrating technology effectively.
“Today at Twinglobe Care we use integrated data to:
- Identify deterioration earlier
- Support proactive and preventative care
- Reduce avoidable hospital admissions
- Tailor care plans dynamically
- Inform clinical decision-making
- Evidence funding requirements in real time
“This has moved the organisation beyond integrated care and toward genuinely intelligent care.”
Does this help identify wider trends across the service?
“Absolutely.
“We’ve seen significant benefits in identifying trends around urinary tract infections, chest infections, sleep disturbance, mobility changes, and other early indicators of declining health.
“We’ve been able to pick up UTIs much quicker because people get up more in the night. Armed with that information we’re able to provide early intervention and start treatment sooner.
“This enables us to prevent avoidable hospital admissions. Which improves outcomes for residents while reducing the risk of complications associated with hospital stays.
“I believe this level of understanding is what makes care genuinely personalised.
“People talk about person-centred care, but often it isn’t truly person-centred. What we have achieved is truly personalised care, and right in the middle of that is Nourish.
“Because Nourish sits at the centre of our digital ecosystem, teams can connect information from multiple systems, identify trends, and build a complete picture of an individual’s needs.
How has reporting evolved?
“I might not use Nourish every day, but if I go in, I can find what I’m looking for.
“Managers across the organisation use reporting to monitor care quality, manage risk, and evidence outcomes.
“If something isn’t reporting properly, we can identify it quickly and put it right.”
“Reporting has evolved from being primarily operational to becoming a strategic tool that supports:
- Real-time risk visibility
- Rapid escalation pathways
- Same-day funding evidence
- Governance oversight
- Quality assurance processes
- Regulatory compliance
“The ability to produce comprehensive records quickly has proven invaluable when securing additional support funding and demonstrating outcomes.”
Looking ahead: A digital estate built for the future
As Twinglobe continues to grow and evolve, integration remains at the heart of its digital strategy.
“We need to be an open system. In order to provide a whole-person approach, we need to be able to bring together different technologies that help us understand what’s needed for each individual.
“I honestly think a lot of other companies can learn from how Nourish develops and how open it is to bringing different technologies into its system. It has made a significant difference to how we operate.”
Today, Twinglobe’s digital estate is established, proven, and continually evolving. By combining technology, clinical insight, and a commitment to personalised care, the organisation is demonstrating what the future of connected care can look like.
For Twinglobe, the result is simple: better information, better decisions, and better outcomes for the people they support.
