Ness M Care Services understand the strength that can come from community, and the passion it requires to bring such communities to life. For 15 years, their service’s reputation is synonymous with personal care, and energising support. With a clientele of around 130 people across the UK, their aim is to support people’s independence while helping them to live full lives in their communities. This commitment to community pushed them to utilise digital technology. Ness M Care Services tried their hand with different digital platforms before switching to Nourish Empower in 2021. Since then, they’ve found the centralisation of information, communication across the services and collaboration with Nourish teams to be exactly what they were looking for.

We spoke to Ness M Care Services’s Founder and Managing Director, Jacqualine Moyo, about their experience with Nourish. We explored how they ensure their teams are informed and their community remains connected with Nourish Empower. The benefits that are felt at every level of their service, throughout their community and the positive impact this has had for their reputation with clients, regulators and funders alike!

Why did you choose to switch to Nourish?

“We previously used a different software, and we were getting annoyed with it. There was a lot of frustration around access to the software. It was unresponsive and we were constantly being cut off. As you can imagine in this environment, homecare doesn’t wait for anything. When I was talking about these issues with other providers they recommended I look into Nourish Empower.

“Once we switched the accessibility and ease of use was quickly apparent to us. My Team Leaders and I found it was easy to create rotas and share with the team. Our teams were no longer getting cut off from the information they needed, because it is all accessible on their phones.”

Red heart Red heart Quote
“Our reports say on average we are able to give 10 minutes of direct engagement to our clients. That are not task related. Just focused on engaging them and getting to know them, thanks to the app giving us that extra time with the people we support.”
Jacqualine Moyo Founder and Managing Director

How did your teams find onboarding onto the new system?

“Nourish Empower is a very user friendly. When we onboarded our teams to Empower they picked it up quite quickly. Including the admin staff in the office found it quite easy to onboard information. It was straightforward for them to share the right information with the right people across our service.”

How does our team support you?

“We have a dedicated Account Manager who is readily available and they are an enormous resource for us. We also have an Empower ‘superuser’ of sorts on our side who communicates with our Account Manager on our behalf. Thanks to this established relationship addressing challenges when they arise is seamless for us. We contact our Empower communications person and they get in touch with our Account Manager.

“We also find the updates through the app really useful. It’s a great source of upcoming important information. As well as being a quick and straightforward way to get solutions and direction on the app.”

Red heart Red heart Quote
“The app is so straightforward, documenting appointments is quick, easy to share and it gives our carers more time with the people we support.”
Jacqualine Moyo Founder and Managing Director

How do you ensure the right information goes to the right people with Empower?

“Roles and permissions are a massive help. We can share information across the system to everybody who needed it. It’s accessible to all our staff, with obvious limitations depending on who you are within the organisation. We’ve got carers, team leaders, registered managers and of course senior people like myself. We must manage the data effectively, and share it appropriately. Our senior people are able to manage information that everyone else can’t access or change. So Empower allows for us to have our own level of boundaries. Which is vital for secure information and data protection.”

How does Nourish Empower help you communicate better across your service?

“When we’ve got, for example, a new client, it’s much easier to share their information with the right people. Previously it was always a challenge in terms of effectively communicating important information to our carers. We’ve always been able to do that in person. Now that information is uploaded and readily available to everybody it’s much easier to communicate across our service. You only need to send people to their app if you needed to send out a message specifically about a client, or if I want to send a general message to our teams, it is visible to them wherever they are.

“So communication is faster and is more efficient and is to everybody that needs it.”

Does Empower make it easier to evidence your care?

“Absolutely, in terms of evidencing to both regulators and the local authorities who are very keen to know how we spend their money! They want to see that we are actually spending the time that they pay us for with the client. Which is why the call monitoring features on the Empower app are so impactful. All our staff can record their actual appointment times accurately and securely with ease when they log in and out. Which creates the exact evidence we are being asked for.

“It’s not just the logging in and logging out either. It is able to tell us live about the care that we provide as it happens. As soon as somebody writes their information and presses the send button at the end of an appointment, it is available on the other side for our managers. This again helps improve our communication and ensures the right people have what they need. It’s very helpful for care management.”

How does the accessibility of this information help you improve care quality?

“The accessibility of care documents to staff improved the quality of our care a lot. Our teams can do a lot better when they have the right information. Care plans are essential documents in care, and the accessibility of those documents or similarly important information like risk assessments, to our staff is vital. Having them so easily to hand has improved care significantly and been a game changer for us.

Red heart Red heart Quote
“It’s also helped us improve the quality of the notes our teams are writing. We are able to see what they are writing and this helps us from both and communication and a training point of view.”
Jacqualine Moyo Founder and Managing Director

“It’s also helped us improve the quality of the notes our teams are writing. We are able to see what they are writing and this helps us from both and communication and a training point of view. In terms of training our staff, it helps us refine how we document appointments effectively. Quality documentation is a serious side of care that people don’t think about enough in my opinion. If it’s not written properly, it doesn’t reflect the exact needs of the person. Then they don’t get the care and support they need. By centralising our information, improving the quality of that information and then applying it to our care we have significantly improved the support we provide to our community.”

So centralisation is a key benefit to your service?

“Absolutely, centralisation is a huge benefit. Especially with the alerts we can set up to highlight important information and timelines.”

How do the alerts help?

“Lots of ways, lets take the example of a care plan. Care plans need to be reviewed regularly. We generally set care plan review for every four months quarter. With Nourish Empower I can set up alerts to make sure we stay on top of these reviews at every level of our service. It will give an orange alert when it’s near the time, and when you’re past the review period to changes to red. It seems simple but it’s a big help for understanding what’s coming at a glance. It’s also a very important compliance tool from an inspection point of view.

“Care plan reviewing is essential for quality care. As well as engaging with the people you support. Homecare can quickly become quite hectic, and that is when things can get overlooked or underreported. Alerts make sure nothing falls between the cracks of your care delivery. Ensuring we are always up to date and in step with our clients, from our carers to our senior level.”

Red heart Red heart Quote
“From a director level, it’s made things a lot simpler for all my managers. Which is always what you want for the system.”
Jacqualine Moyo Founder and Managing Director

What is a key benefit your managers receive from Nourish Empower?

“First of all, from a director level, it’s made things a lot simpler for all my managers. Which is always what you want for the system.

“For our managers, information is key. Access to information is key for staff. It impacts the way we communicate and everything else throughout our service. The fact the information from our appointments is up to date and shared as soon as it is recorded is incredible.

“Also when preparing for an inspection as a registered manager it’s fantastic. All the things that I’ve been talking about; the access to information, the alerts, the way it organises the care system, the client and staff information and just simplifies all these things from an inspection point. It’s brilliant.”

Ness M Care Services carer using Nourish Empower

What is a key benefit your carers receive from the platform?

“I think the most important was the accessibility and the availability. We can rely on Nourish Empower. I mean, comparing it to the issues we had with our previous software it’s night and day. We’ve never had a situation where we shut down.

“The ease of use is also critical. Our carers find the app so simple and effective. I may be the managing director but I also still participate as a carer. So, I experienced first hand how the app enhanced our approach to care.

“It’s so straightforward and it speeds up so much of our admin. Checklists also expedite the documenting about a client. Which is much quicker than writing by hand like we used to do. It’s quick, it’s easy to share and it gives our carers more time with the people we support.”

Red heart Red heart Quote
“It’s improved trust. It’s improved the relationship that we have with our clients and their families. The trust that when they see things that we see.”
Jacqualine Moyo Founder and Managing Director

How are these benefits felt by the people you support?

“I think first of all, it’s better quality care. The care that they receive is very well guided. Their care plans are regularly reviewed as well the impact of our support, which keeps us up to date. This means we can move the journey of their needs with them. Adapting our support to their ambition and co-producing the best results for everyone involved. Because we are there when things change, we can see them change and we are informed at all times.

“Also, people want to know about what we write about them. The Empower app makes it very easy to download that information and send it to our clients. Or share it with their relatives if they need to see information about their loved ones. We can email this information or download it and share as appropriate.  It’s got the facts that are needed. It’s got the care at the time they came in, all visible for them to query if they want to.

“So it’s improved trust. It’s improved the relationship that we have with our clients and their families. The trust that when they see things that we see. We noticed it also improved our company reputation as well in the areas we worked with.”

Does this improve your reputation with your funders as well?

“Of course! The funders are part of the community. Obviously they want the right information to justify their spending. With Nourish Empower we can deliver evidence of what we do, when we do it, and how long we do it for easily. Which has improved our reputation with them. If this information is not very clear, it reduces the levels of trust.

Red heart Red heart Quote
“We are in a much, much better space with our funding authorities because we can deliver information that they can see clearly.”
Jacqualine Moyo Founder and Managing Director

“We are in a much, much better space with our funding authorities because we can deliver information that they can see clearly.”

How much time does Nourish Empower help Ness M Care Services save?

“It’s hard to quantify but it’s evident in the pace with which information is shared throughout our service. We are in a position to accept a package at 5:00pm at end of the day. Because our carers will have access to this information when they go visit that person later that day. That’s improves our pace across the board, which is difficult to quantify.

“The time spent typing writing is drastically reduced, which is easier! Our reports say on average we are able to give 10 minutes of direct engagement to our clients. That are not task related. Just focused on engaging them and getting to know them, thanks to the app giving us that extra time with the people we support.”

Has Nourish Empower helped you grow as a business?

“Definitely, we’ve seen our significant growth over the past couple of years. Obviously when everything flows smoothly, we are able to grow. We are able to take on clients, upload and quickly have information accessible. We can efficiently arrange and organise our staff.

“I think it would have been very difficult to grow at the level we have without Empower. To manage the level of what we’ve experienced without a software that is tied to our community and supporting our processes would be very difficult.

“In turn, I feel we also help you grow too. We’ve been part of your journey by feeding information back to you. We feel like we’re in a partnership because we can see the feedback we provide being implemented.”

Ness M Care Services chatting together

Co-production is central to our processes, so in closing, why are you confident about your future with Nourish?

“I think it’s the accessibility to information really, which has improved our communication. I see efficient care planning and remote monitoring helping us improve outcomes for the people we support. As a provider we are better at compliance. Homecare is a very highly regulated industry so this is a big win for us.

“But also in terms of our contracts and complying them, particularly the financial side of the contracts. We were struggling to evidence visibly the actual appointment times that we spent with clients. Now it’s a straightforward and simple process.

“Really Nourish Empower improved things in many areas, so it’s hard to pick just one! As a managing director I’ve got a very happy staff, a thriving business, and I feel very supported.”

“The future is bright. Nourish are an attentive company. You consider what the customer says and really work on relationships with them. I know you appreciate that the job we do is very difficult. That information is key to what we do. That understanding is why I really see a future with Nourish.”

Back to case studies

Care is always evolving. Over the past five years we have seen a notable increase in the demand for home care in the UK. The population is ageing, and people want to be able to live freely at home for longer. That is why care technology needs to evolve quickly as well. In today’s fast-paced world of home care delivery, frontline teams face mounting pressure to deliver high-quality, personalised support. Often with limited resources and fragmented tools. Traditional systems fall short, leaving carers without the context they need, struggling with poor connectivity, and relying on insecure communication methods.

This blog explores how a mobile-first, context-aware care platform can reshape the way support is delivered.

We’ll dive into how this innovative approach empowers carers, improves outcomes, and brings confidence back to every visit.

Connected and contextual care

Information is key to quality care. Carers, especially those in home care, are asked to wear a millinery’s worth of hats throughout their day. On traditional platforms, carers often lack visibility into why tasks are required. This can easily lead to disjointed care, creating gaps and inconsistencies in the application of someone’s plan. Which leads to missed opportunities for better outcomes.

We work with our users to continually review and develop the functionality of our products. We are building out care tasks, interactions and assessments that link directly to care plans. Giving carers real-time context to deliver more informed and personalised support.

The new Better Care at Home app connects each interaction to a section of the care plan. Crucially, including a client timeline for context, so that every interaction is connected. The app provides instant access to critical information, including emergency packs, allergies, and assessments. Ensuring your team knows everything they need for quality home care delivery.

Mobile-first, built for the real world

Of course, all the functionality in the world doesn’t matter if the app doesn’t turn on when you need it. Or, to borrow a phrase from my old football coach, ‘the best ability is availability’. He had a few ways of saying it in fairness, however this is the only one I feel comfortable repeating.

Unreliable mobile signals and clunky interfaces slow down home care delivery. Which leads to frustration for your teams when they don’t have access to the things they need to succeed. Much like a certain unnamed football coach for Castletroy Rovers’s under-12s.

The Better Care at Home app supports care wherever it happens. Whether in someone’s home or on the go. With offline access and intuitive tools that work in real-world conditions.

Offline mode ensures carers can record and access key information, even in low signal areas. Storing the recorded information on the app and uploading it as soon as a connection becomes available. Ensuring no important interactions go unrecorded. Features like appointment views, body maps, and medication tools make care delivery simpler and faster in the field.

We develop all our features with our users. Creating a continuous feedback loop throughout the development process. By co-producing our products, we can ensure that they are both fit for the role, and accessible to the user.

Seamless communication & confidence in home care delivery

Communication is key. It lies at the centre of all successful systems. In home care delivery, disjointed communication between carers and managers leads to missed updates and disparate perspectives. Which in turn can lead to a reliance on unsecure tools like WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger.

Better Care at Home enables care teams to stay connected and informed with secure in-app messaging. Keeping your communications exclusively between your team. With built-in support that is only ever a click away. As well as a Microsoft login to make accessing the platform easier for your users. Features that promote ease of access and collaboration for every interaction.

In-app messaging supports team to team and group conversations securely. Building connections across your service, regardless of where your team are at the time. This can help bridge the distance that naturally occurs in home care delivery. Our integrated guides and user-friendly interface help your team to quickly become comfortable using our app. Allowing for their care to evolve in line with our functionality, as they unlock more time with the people they support. As well as more information about the life that person leads and the care and support they desire. Improving access, auditability, and security for your whole service.

Empowering the future of home care delivery

As the demand for home care continues to grow, so too must the tools we rely on to deliver it. The Better Care at Home app represents a meaningful step forward. Not just in technology, but in how we think about care itself. By working with Nourish users we understand some of the key challenges providers face. Including gaps in information, accessibility issues and fragmented communication. Our mobile-first, context-aware platform empowers carers to provide more informed, responsive, and compassionate support.

With every task linked to a care plan, offline functionality that works in the real world, and secure communication built in, Better Care at Home is more than just an app update, it’s an upgrade. A partner in delivering confident, connected care. And by co-producing with the people who use it every day, we ensure it continues to evolve alongside the needs of the sector.

Care Wise are an established home care provider, serving their community in Lancing for over a decade. Coproduction lies at the heart of their care philosophy, as they bring together the people using their support, their family, their teams and other services to provide care that promotes independence and invigorates participants to live the lives they want, their way. Care Wise joined Nourish Better Care at Home just over a year ago, aiming to build upon their existing functionality in Nourish Empower to centralise both their administrative and care data. With the ambition to more specifically understand their community, and more effectively support their needs. We sat down with Manager Perry Amedome to find out how it went.

“Nourish Better Care at Home gives us the tools to treat people independently, encompassing their family, their ambitions, their changes and their needs, so they can live independently.”

How did you and your team find upgrading to Better Care at Home from Empower?

“I was learning hands on from the start, so my Customer Success Manager Katie was a huge help. I felt like I could reach out at any time. She would take me through anything I was curious about and help me understand how to best apply the functionality to our person led service. The support team are also a great resource, when we contact them for guidance we get quick responses. So, anytime we have challenges, we simply contact them for any help we need. Thanks to this comprehensive support I became comfortable with the new functionality.

“The Care Wise team found the change quite straightforward. Once we took them through the system and showed them how they can use the system they were really impressed with the functionality. For both themselves, and the people they support.”

“Overall, the centralisation and communication capabilities of Better Care at Home are why we are able to manage both sides of our service so effectively. The people we take care of and the people that we employ to take care of them. It’s all interlinked, in an easy and straightforward way and it’s incredibly helpful.”
Perry Amedome Manager

How has moving to Better Care at Home improved your ability to provide care?

“A lot of ways. I love the system because, comparing Better Care at Home to Empower, there is a clearer throughline of care. With Better Care at Home we can use the assessments from the library to build care plans. It makes it so much more fluid and effective to provide care. It also makes it easier to evidence our approach to care.

“During our last council inspection, they were impressed because they could easily see all of the risk assessments we conducted for every part of our care plan environment.

“The range of assessments is fantastic. They are so easy to specify to the people you care for. Which is essential for us as we work with people to promote their independence. The available assessments give you a great starting point. From there we can add and remove any of the sections in the assessment that aren’t relevant. This allows our care to be more person-led as we adapt our assessments to their unique needs, while our administration can be more centralised to adapt to the volume of data we gather to inform our care.”

How does Better Care at Home help Care Wise centralise your processes?

“It makes it easy to capture, review and act upon information. Care is shaped by the information we capture during appointments. It is critical to improving outcomes and driving independence. It is really helpful now we’re able to capture this vital information in a plain and straightforward way. We have care plans that have the reassessment embedded in them. Which means all the information and processes we need to provide the care we want to is easy to access and apply.

Red heart Red heart Quote
“It makes it easy to capture, review and act upon information. Care is shaped by the information we capture during appointments. It is critical to improving outcomes and driving independence.”
Perry Amedome Manager

“This is especially evident when it comes time to use the emergency admissions pack. This toolkit includes all of the necessary information such as their vitals and allergies, which is invaluable when you need to react quickly.

“We also keep track of all communication that has gone on with our clients and any incidents, like a fall. Effectively we record everything we can in Better Care at Home. This enables us to paint a full picture of someone’s care experience with us.

“Nourish also helps us centralise our administrative data. For example, the recently released holiday system is fantastic. Our carers can book their holidays directly through the carer app. Then we can just review the requests on our side and easily approve them. So that has also been really helpful for them. This was convenient for both our carers and our office team. It is the exact kind of centralisation we were looking for.

“Initially tracking holidays was a bit of a pain. Now it is easier for us to track the holidays and know what has been taken, what is outstanding and all the varying factors. And then share that information with our carers. Which makes it a better system for us to manage our team with.

“Overall, the centralisation and communication capabilities of Better Care at Home are why we are able to manage both sides of our service so effectively. The people we take care of and the people that we employ to take care of them. It’s all interlinked, in an easy and straightforward way and it’s incredibly helpful.”

How does Better Care at Home support Care Wise to coordinate your care?

Simply put, having all this information at my fingertips is brilliant. Your call monitoring functionality is a fantastic management tool. We receive prompts to let us know when carers are running late. So, you don’t have to be monitoring the live feed to see where the carer is. If they’re not logged in, say within 10 minutes of an appointment start time, you are informed and you can follow up with the carer to find out what’s going on. This ensures that no call is missed. Which is both a useful feature and a weight off my mind. Instead of me being on the PC monitoring a live feed I can focus on other things, knowing that if anyone hasn’t logged in for 10 minutes I will get an alert, which is fantastic!

How do you use the information available on the system to drive improved outcomes for your community?

“We conduct a general care plan review every six months. This is alongside any more acute changes we need to make based on appointment notes and other reported incidents that need more immediate addressing.

“The general care plan review involves the carer going to the client and having a conversation. Several of our clients include their family members and loved ones in this conversation, which helps reinforce our person led approach. The carer asks questions that help us understand the effectiveness and impact of our care. ‘Do you feel your needs are properly cared for?’ ‘Do you want to change anything?’ ‘Do you want anything added?’. Then based on the conversation we have, we just come on to Better Care at Home and update the care plan. So if the carers record a need to change, these changes happen immediately.

Red heart Red heart Quote
“The family portal might be my favourite thing about Better Care at Home, it’s so helpful for our approach to care.”
Perry Amedome Manager

“When that is updated, we share an updated copy of the care plan with the client. To also go through and make sure the things they hold valuable are reflected. Whatever needs that they require, they can see the information we pulled from the system, what we are going to provide and why. Then, if they are satisfied, they give us go ahead to use their care plan for their care.

“Thanks to Better Care at Home centralising our information and supporting our communication, our managers have the right information to justify care plan changes as required, and our clients feel informed and involved in their care. Ensuring that we are always supporting the needs of our clients as effectively as possible.

It sounds like coproducing care is central to Care Wise, how does our family portal help you involve all the relevant people in the process?

“The family portal might be my favourite thing about Better Care at Home, it’s so helpful for our approach to care. It allows family members to see the care we are providing. So they have the assurance that comes from involvement and understanding how we’re supporting their loved one at Care Wise. We routinely share information through the portal to help highlight the impact of our care, which the families love.

“As I said earlier, the family frequently take part in the six-month reviews. With the family portal they are also able to stay abreast of their loved one’s care, which creates a communicative circle of care around the client, their family, and us. This circle includes their multidisciplinary team and other relevant parties as well. All these elements coming together is crucial for promoting independence.”

How does Better Care at Home help you promote independence for your clients?

“It’s how it brings everything together. Better Care at Home helps us manage our client’s needs, knowing what they need, and all the changes that come with their care evolving over time.

“Without Better Care at Home, it’s difficult to know when an assessment was done, know what has changed and why. So being able to see the changes over time, knowing what has gone on and being able to clearly communicate all of these things with the people that matter, it helps us to support the people who rely on us to our best ability. Without Better Care at Home we would be relying much more on guesswork and guessing doesn’t make the care person centred, coproduction does. Better Care at Home gives us the tools to treat people independently, encompassing their family, their ambitions, their changes and their needs, so they can live independently.”

Kingsway Care enables older people and people with disabilities to stay in the homes they know and love. Infusing home visits with fun, laughter and companionship, the independent home care provider supports people in Brighton and Hove.

Managing Director, Vicky Haines, explains how home care management software, Nourish Rostering, is improving efficiency and empowering care workers in the community.

How long have you been using Nourish?

“We’ve been using Nourish Empower from the beginning. So we haven’t had to do that transition from paper to digital records. We started to use Nourish in 2021. It allows us to see the big picture and roster our care workers in an intuitive way.”

How does it help?

“We work with a lot of people with dementia or cognitive decline, so continuity of care is really important. Having that same care worker or team of carers is vital, so the people we support get to know them. Nourish lets us roster our care workers easily.

“We have a skills and attributes section. So we can make sure that only the right carer goes to the right people. This allows us to make sure that the package of care runs smoothly, and the person doesn’t get disoriented when somebody new walks through the door.”

Red heart Red heart Quote
“We recently had an emergency with someone who needed an immediate upgrade in the number of hours of care. Within half an hour, we went from delivering one hour of care a day, to 13 hours of care a day. We could see immediately who was available and what our capacity was to be able to put that care in place. It’s things like this that make a real difference.”
Vicky Haines Managing Director

Does it help staff retention?

“It’s hard for carers out there. Nourish aids us in staff retention because we can make sure that we’re providing rosters that work for their availability and allows them to have their own lives. We can see who is where at all times and can easily make changes. It’s really transformational. I can’t imagine having to do rosters on an excel document!”

Can you give us an example of when Nourish was beneficial for Kingsway Care?

“We recently had an emergency with someone who needed an immediate upgrade in the number of hours of care. Within half an hour, we went from delivering one hour of care a day, to 13 hours of care a day. We could see immediately who was available and what our capacity was to be able to put that care in place. It’s things like this that make a real difference.”

Associated Wellbeing offer a range of Mental Health and Community services. They adopted Nourish in early 2020.

We spoke to Clinical Director, Sarah Beaumont to talk about their experience using digital care planning, and how Nourish has helped enhance their care services.

Did you have any concerns about going digital?

I was worried that staff might find the system too complicated or be reluctant to use it, meaning we’d miss out on recording vital information.

How did Nourish and the team help you overcome these concerns?

We had three days of bespoke training online via zoom which was really helpful and informative. The team allowed us to ask any questions we had, even if we felt they we’re silly, and they taught us how to tailor our system to provide totally bespoke care to our young people.

How easy have you found Nourish to use?

Very easy, it’s simple and user friendly. If you forget anything or are unsure about something, the 24/7 support is available to provide advice and guidance.

“I think Nourish has saved our staff at least 2hours per shift in recording. Also the recording on Nourish is much higher quality and more detailed due to the bespoke interaction tabs that are created.”

How do you think Nourish has helped you to enhance quality care?

It was a game changer for our company. We were struggling with data protection, accurate record keeping, and being able to recall important pieces of information. We had a focused inspection from CQC and it was really difficult to evidence our work as our record keeping was inconsistent. Nourish has enabled us to really improve our patient care and evidence the great work the team does.

What do your care team think about Nourish?

All the team have given positive feedback about the system. Training was easily done with all staff through Nourish’s train the trainer method.

Have you had any feedback from residents or their families about you using Nourish?

It is really easy to provide reports and written evidence to commissioners and family members about the care plans, risk assessment and daily activities of our young people. We are proud to be using Nourish and use it as a selling point.

Have you had any feedback from CQC as a result of going digital with Nourish?

CQC have advised us they are much happier we have an established electronic system now, as this will enable them to gather the evidence they need to rate our service much more easily.

How long did it take for you to notice that Nourish was making a difference?

We noticed almost immediately that Nourish was making a significant difference, having a single system that enables us to capture all the evidence is amazing and reduced so much stress from the leadership team.

How much more time are your staff spending with residents and families, providing face to face care because of Nourish?

The staff love the handheld devices, it allows them to record in real time and do it as they work alongside the young people. They don’t have to complete entries that are rushed at the end of a shift and don’t forget to record things as they are doing it as they go along.

How much time on average do you think Nourish has saved you and your staff?

I think Nourish has saved our staff at least 2 hours per shift in recording, also the recording on Nourish is much higher quality and more detailed due to the bespoke interaction tabs that are created.

What do you like most about using Nourish?

The system is user friendly, bespoke, and you are able to customise it to your service with ease. I have made several recommendations to other providers regarding Nourish as I would advocate all health and social care providers consider using this amazing system.

What is your favourite Nourish feature?

I love the combined care and risk plans that are categorised, and the reminders that are set to always ensure reviews are completed. I love the individual interaction tabs and being able to easily attach photos of activities and service user engagement.

Is there a task or process that you feel has greatly improved since using Nourish?

We love being able to add templates to Nourish to record progress reviews, business meetings and care planning meetings. This means we are capturing MDT reviews more effectively and efficiently.
