Avante Care & Support and Nourish celebrate a successful collaboration. The past year has seen Avante Care & Support collaborating with Nourish care planning technology. Nourish is a cutting-edge technology that has enabled Avante Care & Support to remove paper care plans completely.
Digital care planning brings many benefits, including working more efficiently when recording residents’ information and freeing up more time to focus on residents. Other benefits include creating consistent reporting across the home, less data input duplication, and quicker access to historical resident data.
In August, Avante Care & Support celebrated the completion of the successful roll out of digital care plans across all 10 of its care homes. The celebration was hosted at Avante Care & Support’s head office in Faversham, Kent. Where project leaders Matt Heath and Heather Taylor, joined with staff from Nourish and Avante Care & Support to celebrate the successful completion of the project.
Since onboarding with Nourish, staff have seen the many benefits of using technology to record care plans rather than the paper based way. Avante staff can now input information at the point of contact, allowing for a more in-depth and “person-centered” assessment of residents’ personal and practical care needs. In addition, Nourish uses cutting-edge technology and allows staff to identify patterns of behaviour and well-being indicators that have otherwise not been identified.
Project leader Matt Heath said,“It was fantastic to see so many colleagues at the Nourish celebration last week and to mark all of our homes migrating over to Nourish. It was also great to be joined by Nourish who have supported us in the journey and gained feedback from Avante to continue developing the digital care plan platform. It has been great to see the hard work and dedication from all involved to make this a success“.
Overall, the collaboration between Avante Care & Support and Nourish appears to have significantly improved and streamlined administrative processes, and empowered staff to offer more personalised and efficient care. The transition from paper-based care plans to electronic care planning is a remarkable step toward embracing technological advancements in the healthcare sector.
