Collaboration and communication are core at Nourish Care. We co-produce allour technology with providers to ensure we are always closely aligned with lived experience. This focus on partnerships with our user community serves our software well and runs throughout our structure from support to c-suite. Recently, our engineering teams came together for a two-day Hackathon designed to bring together expertise and share inspiration as we explore the latest in AI innovation and give our engineers dedicated time to experiment, create, and collaborate.
The event brought together teams from across the business with two clear goals:
1) To continue learning about the latest developments in AI technology
2) To use that knowledge to make Nourish’s products even more effective, efficient, and impactful for the care and support sector.
Learning, experimenting & building at the Nourish AI Hackathon
Day one kicked off with sessions exploring some of the most exciting recent advances in AI. From agentic AI and multi-agent frameworks to MCP servers, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and AI guardrails.
The morning talks and walkthroughs offered a chance to dive into how these technologies can be responsibly applied within Nourish’s ecosystem. Ensuring our innovations always align with the values of safety, transparency and better care.
In the afternoon, teams moved from theory to practice with interactive tutorials and demos. Then on day two, small teams formed to bring their ideas to life. These teams explored ideas to help us deliver faster, smarter, and more effective solutions for our partners in care.

Responsible AI, real impact
The Hackathon was more than an opportunity to build something new. It was a moment to step back and reflect on how we innovate responsibly. Each team approached their project with the same guiding question: How can we use Responsible AI to make a genuine difference in care?
By the end of the two days, everyone left with renewed energy and clarity. About how the technologies we’re exploring today can support the care sector tomorrow.

Innovation that supports improved outcomes
The Hackathon reflects our continued commitment to building products and systems that not only advance technology. But also strengthen the foundations of community-centred, person-led care and support.
Through collaboration, experimentation, and a shared sense of purpose, our engineering teams are helping shape a future where responsible innovation drives meaningful impact across the care community.
